Now for the season ahead it really is about the polar opposites or as we like to call it; Rough and Rugged. It can be a challenge at times trying to find balance between sporting this look and at the same time managing to look…well…-nice! It is definitely possible and some of our desingers have proven this so with their catwalk collections which make it all seem so effortless. The collage below is a pick of a few of my favourite things and how I would manage this trend when the time came. Don’t shy away from the thrify stores people, they can be your best friend when looking for a tattered and torn yet funky addition to the closet. Pair up your boyfriends old sportswear hoody over the top of a cropped printed tee and throw on those heavy hang shredded denim jeans. Go that extra mile and wrap your head with a bohemian print scarf and slip on either your best pencil thin heeled pumps or that chunky wedge to balance out the outfit and still give it a whiff off femininity. As I write this I am currently testing out this look, something along the lines of sexy with a hint of scruff, and a little bit tough.
