Zimbabwe Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2013 [Day 1,Trio 2]: Zuvva, Colin Ratisai & Countess K
- Zuvva by Joyce Chimanye:
Mixed collections of menswear and ladieswear could be a tricky one to pull off but Zuvva proved impossible is nothing with her Tribal-themed mixed collection. The designer also infused alternate fabrics for the ladieswear bit of the collection.
Collection:
- Colin Ratisai:
Also a mixed collection, the most part of Mr Ratisai’s collection appeared to be a borderline between beachwear and lounge wear. While we’re not too keen on the menswear bit of the collection, the ladieswear did have some take-home worthy pieces. The designer incorporated tribal prints, polka dotted wet lycra, sheer and silk as fabrics.
Collection:
- Countess K by Alice Kruth:
Tribal meets Pret-a-Porter at Countess K; Although not absolutely cohesive, each piece exuded its individuality - playsuits, dresses and maxis showing off ruched waists, stringed necklines, funnel sleeves, turtle necks and oversize pockets.
