New York Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2013 [Day 3]: Hervé Léger by Max Azria.
Appreciating the female form as per usual and steadily reform the iconic bandage dress, Max Azria took to geometric and graphic patchwork for the opening pieces of the collection; some flared, others accentuating the female form supported by leather harnesses which acted as bodices or at times as a sheath in monochrome and inky blue hues. Swiftly transited into pieces with netty overlays, quilting appliqué stunned up by chain woven necklines.
The latter part of the collection saw a more elaborate side to the designer; anatomy, baroque patterning and delicate embellishments in midnight blue hues, ivory and neutrals. A quieter drumbeat to the collection involved very sexy body-suits with similar sexy silhouettes as the dresses.
