London Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2013 [Day 1]: PPQ
Very reminiscent of the 60s/70s, the PPQ show saw psychedelic and paisley prints dominate the assemblage in guise of off shoulder dresses, separates, low back jumpsuits as well as body suits. The designers distracted the audience a little, detracting from the swirly print focus and tending towards Nautical chic, rather than focusing solely on chunky blue stripes, we saw the teaming of Nautical and Paisley at the PPQ show – Nothing says edge more than marrying prints each with incredibly different character.
Billowy/Floatey pieces dotted the runway following the unveiling of vivid psychedelic prints; offering lime green, red, navy and blue as main colors – some hi-lo hemlined, others, normal. The collection, very synonymous to the Mod fashion culture in the 70s also included on trend pastel pieces in candy floss pink.
