New York Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2013 [Day 1]: BCBG Max Azria
BCBG Max Azria brought Gangster back in this Chicest of all forms, beanie hats & all + The Camo Fur is ingenius!
Fun Fact: BCBG is the acronym for a Parisian slang “bon chic, bon genre” meaning “good style, good attitude.”
Grunge, rugged and rad. Three words that are synonymous to the F/W 2013 offering from BCBG Max Azria. This label stays steady pushing boundaries and securing the attention of a large portion of the modern woman demographic. What arrests one at the first glance at the collection is the layering technique used to merge at least three textures into one ensemble. The label known for its more elaborate design constructions and style infused the grunge into the brand’s aesthetic with the dark palette of black and browns with elements of white and play of fabrics. Loose fitting chiffon silhouettes draped in leather, fur and slashes of textiled fabrics. The entire collection was accessorized with leg warmers made from leather; the laser cut leather with baroque detailing also caught our attention.
