New York Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2013 [Day 4]: David Tlale
There is something about the David Tlale brand that exudes royalty and his Fall/Winter 2013 collection was no exception. The collection was themed ‘Decadence’, in celebration of his ten year anniversary. With a mixture of bold and earthy hues paired with art deco-ish patterns, we’ve come to learn that the DT woman is graceful and can be easily set apart from the crowd.
The retro theme with a modern touch was dominant. Exaggerated shoulders and necklines also made an appearance. We spotted some futuristic cuts, particularly the cream-sh and brown outfit with an exaggerated collar. David has the ability to apply existing trends and entirely turn them into his own, making him a trendsetter. I cant help but think that locally, he’s somewhat ahead of our time.
