Capetown Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2013: [Day 4, Duo 1] – Tart | Adriaan Kuiters
Tart:
The Tart creative team are particularly known for use of eye popping colored fabrics; at their S/S 13 show, it doesn’t get more captivating than opening a show with plunging neckline, floaty, red silk number dotted with black leopard spots and palm leaves at the base, later on in the collection the use the same fabric is prominent, tailored into different styles – midi length neck plunging piece, fitted skirt and then as opposed to red, the same pattern was later seen in orange. Jersey fabrics so tastefully made, incorporating drapes, fit and movement. Gorgeous floral printed fabrics; the cutest in this range would have to be the playsuit. Lime green and Hot pink bodies worn as underlay for the transparent pieces.
Though simple, tailoring and craftmanship for this collection appears to be top notch. Colours like teal, cobalt and orange were dominant at the Tart runway show.
Adriaan Kuiters:
Minimalist male chic at Adriaan Kuiters, models donning warm earth tones and tones of navy tailored into shorts and simple collared shirts. Cross-body satchels show safari influences .
