Nucleus is designed and run by Nicole Rasmussen who graduated from Fashion Design at Wits Technikon (now University of Johannesburg). After completing her studies, she moved to Cape Town where Nucleus was started soon after with Knit items – and then gradually expanded. The range is still wholly designed, patterns made and fabrics sourced by Nicole.
Designed for the 25–55 yr women, Nucleus style revolves around fit being the core; the garments are soft and multi-faceted in their use.
Nucleus also supplies Poetry with their Poetry by Nucleus range -which is designed and produced exclusively for Poetry.
Nicole also has another Label called Body which is a casual range with a twist. Body represents feel-good clothing, made from stretch jersey, cotton and linen. Designed to flatter, Body garments skim over uncomfortable places for the ultimate fit; they are also super comfortable and easy to wear.
Nucleus has shown that it has longevity by surviving in the market for over a decade. “We have a core customer base and are a known entity. You can find our ranges in various Boutiques around the country such as Purr (Lifestyle on Kloof), Juno (Willowbridge Shopping Centre), The Space (Cavendish, Rosebank, Woodlands), Willow (East London), Just (Millpark JHB), The Beach House (Hermanus) and more”!
