Enyinne Owunwanne is Founder and Chief Curator of Heritage1960, an online retail destination for discovering global African fashion, lifestyle, and design. With a strong eye for curation and a global sensibility, Enyinne scouts and works with African and African-influenced designers around the world.
Heritage1960 has been lauded by the NY Times, Style.com, Huffington Post, Lucky Magazine, Essence Magazine, Arise Magazine and many more. Enyinne’s multifaceted career path has lead her from the pharmaceutical industry to Wall Street to the business side of fashion.
Before launching Heritage1960, Enyinne worked with leading consumer and trend forecasting agency, WGSN, as a US Business Development Manager. Enyinne is a member of the World Economic Forum’s Design Innovation Council. She has shared her expertise on African Fashion and Entrepreneurship at the United Nations, Columbia University, University of Rochester, New York Public Library, Africa Utopia (in conjunction with the 2012 Olympic opening ceremonies), the Luxury Marketing Council and more.
Enyinne, who is of Nigerian descent, was raised in Kuwait before relocating to New York. She holds a Bachelors Degree in Neuroscience from University of Pennsylvania and a Masters Degree in Global Fashion Management from Fashion Institute of Technology, with intensive graduate coursework completed at Institute Francais de la Mode in Luxury Goods Marketing and Hong Kong Polytech University in Manufacturing & Supply Chain Management.
