Ijeoma Ndekwu is an award-winning fashion journalist and a graduate of Integrated Marketing Communications and Business Management from The American University of Paris, France.
Ijeoma’s journey in Nigerian Fashion began at the age of 18 when she established the foremost Nigerian fashion and style blog – NaijaFashionFreak. NaijaFashionFreak was an instant hit amongst fashion enthusiasts and provided Ijeoma with great exposure, as soon after, she had contributed articles to the UK based Confidence Magazine and styleme-up.com.
In 2008, Ijeoma was appointed the Style Editor of BellaNaija.com. Under Ijeoma’s leadership, the BellaNaija style section was rewarded with the most prestigious fashion prize in Africa – the 2010 Africa Fashion Week award for Fashion Communicator of the Year. Also in 2010, Ijeoma was honoured with the ‘Fashion Writer of the Year’ award during Fab Night Out Awards hosted by FAB Magazine.
Armed with a BA degree and over 4 years experience in the Nigerian Fashion Industry and relating closely with its consumers; In July 2012, Ijeoma established Redrick Public Relations in an effort to practicalize her belief that market intelligence merged with strategic, ‘value-centred’, creative thinking mould the right consumer perceptions.
