Australian designer Kirrily Johnston has added a sprinkle of African flavour to her campaign, making use of only African models to showcase her pieces.
Kirrily Johnston.
This is a very rare occasion in the likes of Australian fashion which is just starting to make use of the various African talent in the fashion-modelling industry. Kirrily’s collection boasts pieces full of volume with plenty of drape and detail to be worn on its own or layered. The subdued whites, blacks and blues are contrasted with frequent bursts of desert orange and royal red. Monochrome stripes are also thrown in for some extra diversity with everything tying together quite nicely. The bold colours and simple stripes stand out beautifully against the model’s skin.
Very refreshing Kirrily.
